Abstract

1,132,803. Transformers. SKODA OBOROVY PODNIK. 30 Jan., 1967 [31 Jan., 1966], No. 4358/67. Heading H1T. In an inductive coil winding of the double disc type, the electrically first turn 1 of the first disc 101 of a pair is spatially arranged as the geometric outer turn of the second disc 102, and the electrically last turn 18 of the second disc is spatially arranged as the geometric outer turn of the first disc. The edge turns of each disc are wound in the same direction as the disc windings; and they may have a thicker layer of insulation and larger conductor dimension than their corresponding disc windings (Fig. 4, not shown). Additional layers of insulation may be placed between the edge turns and the other turns of the disc (Fig. 3, not shown) to resist the high voltage stress between these two groups of windings. The windings may comprise a plurality of parallel conductors (Fig. 2, not shown).
