Abstract
1,131,827. Tractor hitches. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE JOHN DEERE. 30 March, 1967 [2 April, 1966], No. 14580/67. Heading B7T. [Also in Division A1] A hook 2 on a tractor has pivoted to it at 26, 27 a locking catch 21 having a nose 24 which may retain a coupling eye 6. The catch 21 may be pivoted to the release position shown dotted by pulling back an unlocking catch 8 which is pivoted at 9 to the draw bar 3 and is connected to the catch by a link 18 which is pivoted at 19 to the catch 8 and at 20 to the catch 21. A recess 28 in the draw bar 3 serves as a stop for the pivot bolt 20. Automatic unlocking and release of the coupling is obtained when the tractor tends to overturn, by twisting of the eye 6 which lifts the unlocking catch 8 and the locking catch 21 and then disengages itself from the hook.
