Abstract

1,130,978. Laminated flat bags; collapsible containers. DIETER SPIESS, [trading as C. F. SPIESS & SOHN]. 3 June, 1966 [3 June, 1965], No. 24800/66. Headings B8D and B8K. [Also in Division B5] A container for pastes or liquids is formed from a 3-ply laminate blank, folded in two with the superimposed edges 4 welded together, or from a pair of such blanks superimposed one on the other and welded at their edges. The laminate consists of a centre layer of metal foil, preferably aluminium, sandwiched between a layer of polypropylene and a layer of polyethylene, either of which can form the inside of the container. A nozzle 6 may be inserted in one of the corners prior to welding; the plastics may be dyed; and the metal may be deposited by vacuum on to one of the plastics layers.
