Abstract
1,129,875. Ear clips. R. BREUNING [trading as FRANZ BREUNING]. 10 Jan., 1967 [19 Oct., 1966], No. 1397/67. Heading A3H. An ear clip comprises an ornamental part 1, a clamp member 5 hinged to the part 1 and having a rocker 6 pivoted between lugs on the free end portion resiliently to engage a lobe of the ear from behind. The rocker has two pressure arms 6a, 6b whose pivoted movement is limited by an extension 10 on the clamp member. A spring detent 2, 3 acts on the hinge of clamp member 5. A transverse hinge 11 on the member 5 allows lateral pivoting of the rocker or the rocker may be mounted to rotate about two axes at right angles. The rocker with enlarged end portions may be made of plastics or the end portions alone may be made from plastics. The ornamental part has a backing member 8 which lies between the end portions when the ear clip is worn.
