Abstract

Sparking-plugs.-The insulator is formed with a conical portion against which a ring 6 of soft metal such as aluminium is forced by a screwed ring 7, The ring enters completely within the body 1, the outer portion of which is chamfered and turned over so that a portion is forced into the diametral slot 8 in the ring 7. The insulator may be double-conical, two softmetal rings being employed.
