Abstract
1,129,330. Transformers. RUMANIA MINISTRY OF MACHINE BUILDING INDUSTRY. 9 March, 1966, No. 10396/66. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H2] Electrical equipment has a ventilating system which includes a fan driven by an asynchronous three-phase motor having a stator formed of triangular sheets having three holes through which pass respective conductors carrying currents which already exist in the equipment. As shown, a dry transformer 5 for arc welding is surrounded by air, circulating in a ventilating system. A fan 7 directs air through a radiator 8; the fan is fixed to the axle 3 of rotor 2, (solid or squirrel cage). The stator 1 is formed by triangular sheets having a hole in each corner and carries no winding; instead, conductors 4 leading to the transformer pass through the stator holes to form a three-phase system. The motor will begin to rotate when the current through the conductors 4 reaches a particular value.
