Abstract

1,129,314. Golf putter. K. D. J. ROSS. 6 Jan., 1967 [18 Jan., 1966], No. 6310/68. Divided out of 1129313. Heading A6D. The invention provides a golf putter having a shaft one end of which is rotatably mounted in a socket formed in a rear face of a head of the putter so that the angle O between a longitudinal axis of the head at right angles to the direction of the putt and the major portion of the shaft can be adjusted to suit personal requirements, a pin being preferably used to fix the head to the shaft, the pin passing through a bore in the head and engaging said end of the shaft in the socket. The striking face of the putter may be convex and formed from a cylindrical block of aluminium alloy, and may have a blind bore at each end aligned with the longitudinal axis and into which head plugs are inserted to adjust the weight of the head. Figs. 2, 4 and 5 show the angle O and the construction of the head.
