Abstract

1,128,413. Sliding clasp fasteners. LIGHTNING FASTENERS Ltd. 23 Aug., 1967 [6 Sept., 1966], No. 39807/66. Heading E2S. A stringer for a fastener of the concealed element type comprises a stringer tape 2 having a longitudinal fold 4 and a series of coupling elements 3 each coupling element having grooves 10, 10a and a part of the tape portion 6 is held in the grooves on one side of the element by a stitching thread securing the element to the tape. The series of coupling elements may comprise a spiral coil or meander and a textile cord 7 extends within the coil.
