Abstract

1,128,118. Screwdrivers. G. W. MURPHY INDUSTRIES Inc. 29 Aug., 1967, No. 39459/67. Heading B4W. A screwdriver 8 has a bit 9 located in an hexagonal socket 11, which co-operates with a similar end 12 of the bit, and the latter is held in the socket by a split ring 19. The ring has conveyer faces 22, 24 and can be removed from the screwdriver after removal of the bit, by inserting a tool through an aperture 27, so as to force the ring out of the groove 17 in the socket.
