A pharmaceutical composition for treating Parkinson's disease comprises a N,N-diphenylcarbamate or acid addition salt thereof, where R is C 1-4 alkyl, R, and R 2 are each H or C 1-4 alkyl, and A is a branched or unbranched C 1-4 alkylene chain, and a carbamate of the formula where R 3 represents H or halogen, and B is a branched or unbranched C 1-4 alkylene chain, optionally containing a halogen substituent together with a carrier. The composition is preferably administered orally in conventional dosage unit forms e.g. capsules and tablets.
