Abstract

1,125,846. Interior rear-view vehicle mirrors. WINGARD Ltd. 17 April, 1967 [27 April, 1966], No. 18373/66. Heading B7J. [Also in Division G2] An interior rear view vehicle mirror comprises a moulded plastics rectangular backing 10 having a surrounding undercut lip 11 for retaining mirror glass 14, the wall of the lip being slit along a short side to form a tapered opening 13, by means of which the glass is inserted under the lip before the backing is cooled after moulding. In a modification, Fig. 6, the opening 13 is formed with parallel sides and after insertion of the glass 14 it is closed by a plug 16 integral with the backing.
