Abstract

112,578. Adkins, A. May 26, 1917 Mines, marine.-Consists in connecting together hy cables or nets one or more vertical series of connected mines 1f, 1g to form an explosive boom effective against submarine vessels. In the form shown, two series are connected together by a nut 4 and a number of such connected pairs of series are arranged in staggered formation. The booms are anchored by weights 3, 7 and are supported by floats 6. The mines are exploded by contact with the enemy ship.
