Abstract

1,125,134. Hand-tool handles. HOLLANDS & BLAIR Ltd. 8 Nov., 1965 [6 Nov., 1964], No. 45443/64. Heading B4K. A hollow handle adapted to hold either a knife or hack-saw blade, comprises two separable parts 10, 11 with a slot at the front and side so that a knife blade may project forwardly and a hack-saw blade B may project from the side. The knife blade is retained between the part 10 and a recessed rib 12 on the other part 11, a notch on the blade engaging a rib 13. The usual hole in the hack-saw blade B engages on a stud 16, the blade projecting through the slot 17 and bearing on the sides thereof and on a threaded boss 19 by which the two parts 10, 11 are held together by a bolt. A further stud 16 may be provided forward of the boss 19 to allow forward projection of a hack-saw blade, and a hack-saw slot may be provided in the second side of the handle.
