Abstract
1,124,977. Filling bags. W. N. PATTERSON. 29 April, 1966, No. 19061/66. Heading B8C. Bags 14 to be filled with material, e.g. manure, are placed in rows with their mouths extending upwards through holes in a platform 2 fixed to a frame enclosed at the rear and sides, and, after shoots 16 are placed on each bag's mouth, a hinged lid 1 having corresponding apertures is lowered on to the upper ends of the shoots. The arrangement ensures that the outsides and upper portion of the insides of the bags are not soiled during fitting. The bag bottoms rest on an adjustable lower platform 3 The hinged lid 1 is held in position by a clip 17 when closed and is retained upright by a bar 11 when opened, Fig. 3 (not shown).
