Abstract
1,128,201. Bag filling device. E. J. G. HARRIES. 27 Sept., 1965 [29 Sept., 1964], No. 39527/64. Heading B8C. [Also in Division B2] A pan 5, Fig. 1 (not shown), or riddle 7, Fig. 2 pivotally mounted on a stand 1, has a bag or sack 11 supported manually or mechanically at its mouth, so that by tilting the pan or riddle agricultural products which have been placed in the pan or riddle will fall into the bag or sack. The riddle or pan is attached to chains 13 limiting movement backwards. The mouth may be closed by a member (not shown) which can be swung out of position to provide a shoot. The riddle 7, Fig. 2, may comprise two riddling surfaces 9, 10 of different size mesh to grade potatoes and discharge them into two bags. Alternatively, the pan and riddle may be arranged together, the pan being located below the riddle.
