Abstract

1,124,587. Body harness for children. MOTHERCARE Ltd. 24 June, 1966 [24 June, 1965], No. 26704/65. Heading A3V. A baby harness comprises a waist band 11 and a pair of shoulder straps 25, 25a joined together at the back by a slide operated fastener 31 which is opened whilst the harness is being fitted to the baby. The waist band is in two parts 12, 13 and the shoulder straps are sewn to the rear ends of these parts, one of which has an extruded end portion 38 which can be fastened over the slide to lock it when it is in the closed position. Three bar buckles 14, 14a and four bar buckles 26, 26a allow for adjustment of the waist and shoulder straps. Chains 35 attached to five bar buckles 16, 16a allow the baby to be secured to a perambulator or to a lead.
