1,123,391. Push-button tuners. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 23 Nov., 1965 [19 Dec., 1964], No. 49669/ 65. Heading H3Q. In a set of push-buttons for tuning a radioreceiver each push-button 12-14-16 is supported by two bearings so as to be axially displaceable, one bearing (spindle 16 in wall 7) being in a housing 1 for the push-buttons and the other bearing being an assembly 11 separably mounted on housing 1 so that the push buttons may be removed from housing 1 merely by detaching assembly 11 (by loosening screws 19). Each push-button may have an individual assembly 11, or there may be a single assembly 11 supporting all of the push-buttons. The push-button spindles 16 operate on a rocker 4, having a facing strip 20 of hard material, to adjust the tuning device. The effective length of each spindle is adjusted by rotating knob 14 and hence spindle 16 in its screw engagement in a nut 15 fixed to a bar 13 in turn fixed to and slidable with push-button 12. The button is held in its depressed position by catches 22, for example as described in Specification 1,053,633, and returned by spring 17 when another button is depressed. A button 21, when pressed, acts on a rocker 23 which controls a waveband switch.
