Abstract

1,123,063. Gear-cutting. LEES-BRADNER CO. 19 Aug., 1965, No. 35632/65. Heading B3K. A hobbing machine comprises a hob head mounted for vertical and angular adjustment and carrying a main driving means 6 for the hob. The means 6 is a variable speed hydraulic motor. The motor 6 also rotates the work spindle 55, through a differential L, and a feed-screw 66. Fast return feed is provided by an hydraulic motor 77 driving through a differential T and associated with a brake 79.
