Abstract
1,122,251. Transistor switching circuits. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE LIAISONS ELECTRIQUES. 10 Feb., 1966 [15 Oct., 1965], No. 5825/66. Heading H3T. In a time delay switching circuit pulses from a variable frequency oscillator (e.g. that using unijunction transistor T1) are used to discharge a pre-charged capacitor C2, the charge of which is monitored by a threshold circuit which maintains a relay energized until capacitor C2 has discharged below the threshold value. Capacitor C2 is preferably charged by closing contacts 10 so that each pulse from T1 turns on a transistor T2 which incrementally discharges C2 and thus feeds pulses of successively decreasing amplitude to a bi-stable circuit comprising transistors T4, T5. The output of the bi-stable circuit is amplified at T6, T7, rectified at D8 ... D11 and used to energize a relay R for a period of time until capacitor C2 has discharged sufficiently so as no longer to trigger the bi-stable circuit T4, T5.
