1,121,331. Seed sowing machines. W. KNOLLE. 9 Aug., 1965 [20 Aug., 1964]. No, 34062/65. Heading A1D. A machine for sowing seeds comprises a hopper 1 from which seed is fed to cells 4 in a rotatable disc 3, each cell 4 being arranged to hold a single seed which is deflected by an ejector 15 into a chamber 8 in a wheel 6 the arrangement being such that the disc 3 rotates slower than the wheel 6 which is itself rotated so that the seeds are deposited into a furrow formed by a share 9 substantially without horizontal velosity relative to the furrow. The chambers 8 are covered by a member 7 to prevent seeds falling out of the chambers until they reach the lowest point 17a.
