Abstract

1,119,713. Lathe details. IAN NICKOLS Ltd. 22 May, 1967 [24 Feb., 1966], No. 8140/66. Heading B3T. A turret indexing control system includes a first switch 2 which is automatically operated at the completion of the return stroke of the turret and a second switch 3 which is normally connected to a relay 6 which when energized, i.e. through switch 2, causes the turret to begin to move forward which movement continues till switch 2 is released the turret then returning and indexing to the next station. This process is repeated until the correct turret position for the commencement of a working cycle is reached at which stage switch 3 is connected, e.g. by means of a cam carried by the turret, through contacts 3b to a relay 5 which operates to initiate the next working cycle.
