Abstract

1,119,145. Drawer fittings. H. H. ROSS. 26 Jan., 1967 [2 Feb., 1966], No. 4549/66. Heading A4B. [Also in Division B8] A device 26 which is a push fit over a wall of a drawer or tray to facilitate stacking has a support surface 36, downward extensions 30, 33 which contact the inside and outside of the wall and a flange 35 providing an abutting surface to prevent a second drawer placed on top of the first one from slipping off. The device 26 when used on a front wall of the drawer may have an index card fitted into the space provided by the loop 32 and may be retained when the drawer is returned to its cabinet so that the flange 35 acts as a dust excluder. A preferred form of drawer for use with the device, Fig. 3 (not shown), has a second abutment surface (18), above the level of a rear wall (15) but integral with it, and a front wall constructed with a projection (13) extending outwards and then downwards over which the device 26 may seat.
