Abstract

111,857. Fiat-San Giorgio Soc. Anon. Aug. 17, 1916, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Submarine vessels.- A submarine is provided with a revoluble armour - plated gun turret entered through a tube projecting into the vessel. The turret 1 turns on rollers 4 and has a central pivoted tube 5 which passes through a stuffing-box 7 in the hull plating 3 and is provided with suitable doors or hatches 6. The gun 2 is mounted to slide in a block 8 having a spherical outer surface rotatable in a stuffing-box 10 formed in the turret. The muzzle of the gun is fitted with a hinged cover 15 actuated by a toothed sector 14 and worm 13 from inside the turret. Windows are formed in the turret for sighting the gun.
