Abstract
Asbestos felt sheeting is impregnated with phenolic resin which is cured in the absence of any substantial pressure so that air voids remain in it. Preferably the phenolic resin is 40% to 50% of the weight of the sheeting and is cured at a temperature of between 130 DEG C and 160 DEG C at a gauge pressure of less than 20 lbs per square inch.
