In an epicyclic friction reduction gear having output carried stepped planet rollers 311 engaging a sun roller 310 and a fixed ring 312, the difference between the radial pressure forces exerted by the ring 312 and sun 310 on the planets 311 is balanced, at a predetermined output speed by the centrifugal force on the planets. A formula relating the pressure forces and centrifugal force is given.
