Abstract
1,262,909. Variable speed gearing. ELECTRICITY COUNCIL. 10 July, 1970 [16 May, 1969], No. 25173/69. Heading F2D. A variable speed gear comprises an input (or output) shaft A mounting two axially spaced discs whose facing surfaces engage friction rollers B, F also engaging a central disc C, the rollers B being tiltable relative to their fixed carrier, and the rollers F being non-tiltable relative to their carrier E which forms the output (or input).
