111,465. Miller, F. P. Nov. 22, 1916, [Convention date]. Reamers. - The cutting-blades 16 are held in slots 12 with bases 11 inclined as shown or in the other direction, and are secured in the adjusted position by a nut 14 and locking-ring 17. The leading face of each slot and the corresponding face of each cutter are grooved in a direction parallel to the base of the slot and in each pair of grooves is placed a key 18, Fig. 3. Screws 21 with tapered shoulders bear on those keys to press the cutters firmly against the bases and driving sides of the slots 12. In a modification, a head or fillet made integral with the cutter is used instead of a loose key 18. In a modification the groove in the cutting-blade does not extend to the small end so that the latter can be used as a cutter.
