Abstract
1,113,438. Article engaging devices for lifting. MONO CONCRETE Ltd. 5 July, 1965 [3 July, 1964], No. 27545/64. Heading B8H. [Also in Divisions B5 and F2] A wire reinforced concrete pipe (see Division B5 and F2) is provided with a channel crosssection U-shaped stamping n attached e.g. by welding, to the wire reinforcement and which is located in a conical recess in the pipe wall with the arms v directed radially outwardly for engagement by a T-shaped projection q, on a lifting hook p, when inserted between and parallel to the arms v and rotated 90 degrees with respect thereto; leaf springs t locate in depressions moulded in the pipe wall around the recess to hold the hook resiliently in place. In a further embodiment (Fig. 6, not shown), a hole (k) is moulded in the pipe wall through which a lifting member (l) may be inserted to be held in place by a cotter pin (m).
