Abstract

111,172. Turner Bros. Asbestos Co., Turner, S., and Hannah, J. C. Nov. 24, 1916. Roofs and roofing; walls.- Non-metallic corrugated tiles and sheets f o r roofs. walls, &c. are made with one or more large corrugations and of constant thickness, the corrugations having straight and curved top and bottom angles, and tapering longitudinally to allow close bedding at the overlapping joints. Flat or plain sheets of glass or other material may be secured between the edges of corrugated sheets and single-corrugated tiles as shown in Fig. 4; glass sheets may also be held between two single-corrugated tiles as shown in Fig. 5, these double tiles being applicable also as framing or supports for slabs or sheets of other material in the construction of walls, partitions, and asbestos-cement buildings. The tiles or sheets may be made of asbestos-cement, plain cement, glass, clay, &c., and the corners may be cut away to reduce the thickness of overlap where four tiles meet.
