[Also in Division B3] In applying material capable of being melted to a surface, the material is fed in wire form to a rotating pre-heated transfer roller with a continuous oscillatory movement axially of the roller to deposit the material on the roller and the roller is caused to carry out a translational movement on the surface so that it transfers the material in liquid or semi solid state to the surface with a rubbing action.
