Abstract

1,109,429. Valves. ROTAX Ltd. 5 July, 1965 [20 July, 1964], No. 29501/64. Heading F2U. An assembly comprising integral sleeves 13, 14, 15, which is sealed to the valve body 10 by bellows 16 welded thereto, is axially slidable within the body 10 under fluid pressure at an inlet 11 against the force of a plurality of spring washers 20 whereby, at a predetermined inlet pressure, the movement of a closure 21 carried by the sleeve assembly is halted by abutment with adjustable stop 23 to permit flow through seat 19 to the outlet 12. The spring washers may be replaced by a resilient bellows comprising a plurality of oppositely disposed part conical steel washers which are welded together at their peripheries by electron beam welding.
