Abstract
1,108,347. Flash bulbs. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. June 3, 1965 [June 19, 1964], No.23640/65. Heading G2L. The filamentary metallic combustible material 2, e. g., zirconium, aluminium or an alloy of aluminium and magnesium of a flash bulb 1 is spaced apart from ignition filament 8 by extending lead in wires (5), Fig. 2 (not shown), bending one wire parallel to the filament (28), Fig.4 (not shown), or bending one wire parallel to filament (38), Fig. 5 (not shown), and downwardly in alignment with wire 35. The lead-in wires, e.g., 5, Fig. 1, carry a coating of primer of fulminating material, e.g., a mixture of zirconium magnesium and potassium perchlorate with a binder such as a 2 to 8% solution of nitrocellulose in amyl acetate.
