Abstract

B u l k evaporators; evaporators and condensers in structural. combination; water, distilling.-A still 1 for water and other liquids is fitted with an electric heater 2 a n d is surrounded by a casing 4 into which the steam evolved in the still is discharged through an opening 16. The water to be distilled is supplied continuously to a funnel 10 formed with an overflow 11, and is led by a pipe 9 to a vessel 7 below the still. Here the water is heated by steam which is led by pipes 12 from the casing 4 to the double bottom 13 of the vessel 7. The heated water ascends to the still through a pipe 6. The distilled water flows away through a pipe 14.
