Abstract

1,105,069. Roof gutters. MARLEY TILE CO. Ltd. 11, Nov., 1966 [12, Nov., 1965], No. 48156/65. Heading E1B. [Also in Division A4] A roof gutter has a non-circular arcuate cross-section whose maximum width is at its top opening and whose depth is greater than half its maximum width, the preferred crosssection; being semi-elliptical. Adjacent elements of the gutter system are connected by spigot and socket joints with the interposition of a neoprene sealing strip, and for this purpose at least one end of each length of guttering has a pair of notches 4 engageable with integral inturned clips 5 of a socket formed either on another gutter length or on a union member, such as that shown in Fig. 5b. The specification also illustrates a straight union member, a downpipe union member and an end blocking member. The guttering is supported by webbed brackets 13, Fig. 8a. The whole gutter system may be of metal but is preferably of synthetic resin such as p.v.c.
