Abstract

1,104,992. Silo. KNEE AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY Ltd. 4 July, 1967 [8 June, 1966], No. 29642/67. Divided out of 1,104,991., Heading B8S. A vertical shaft is formed on the interior of the wall of a cylindrical silo by removable doors 8 pivoted at their edges 12 on upstanding hinge pins. When closed, the doors abut at their other edges one of which has a flange 11. The bottom edges are set back at 13 so that the pairs of doors overlay vertically. A topclosing cap 17 is provided. The enclosed portion of the silo wall may include apertures 4, which are normally closed by plates 15, leading to an outer shoot. The lowermost doors 8, Fig. 4, are normally of double length, a deflector plate 10 directing material through the aperture 4<SP>1</SP> having a tongue 20 resting on a sill of a closure ring 19 which is engaged by a special closure plate.
