Abstract
1,103,912. Filter. H. W. BENTS, [trading as MELITTA-WERKE BENTZ & SOHN], 20 April, 1965 [17 April, 1964 (2)], No. 16491/65. Heading B1D. [Also in Division A4] A device for filtering infused beverage comprises a filter vessel 1 of conical shape large enough to hold the entire quantity of water required to make at least 1 litre of the beverage, and provided with bearing flanges 3 to enable it to rest on a pot for receiving filtered liquid, the inside face of the filter vessel being ribbed at 2 only in the lower or lower and middle parts of the filter cone, the ribs 2 extending to outlets 6 at the apex of the cone and being formed by recesses or grooves impressed so that the ribs do not project inwardly beyond the internal surface of the smooth upper part of the inside face of the vessel. A filter paper is inserted in the vessel 1, which vessel may be of plastic, china or earthenware.
