Abstract
1,001,401. Coffee pots. SOC. DE CONSTRUCTION D'ARTICLES EN ALUMINIUM. March 5, 1962 [March 3, 1961; Feb. 12, 1962], No. 8374/62. Heading A4D. A coffee pot comprises an outer container with a spout and an inner container constituting an infuser, the inner container being lockable in a lower position for infusing and in an upper position wherein a watertight joint between the two containers is broken so that coffee can be poured from the outer container. When inner container 13 is in its lower position (Fig. 1), water from the base of container 2 is forced up cone 16 into the coffee on filter 15 by steam pressure. When the heating is switched off the coffee solution returns to the base of container 2 and then the inner container 13 can be allowed, by releasing rotatable bar 18 from notches 8, to rise under the influence of spring 17 to the upper position (Fig. 2) in which bar 18 is engaged in notches 7 so that the solution can be poured out via spout 10. A modification has the outer container in one piece (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown).
