988,351. Plant pots; watering plants. D. MARCAN. Feb. 10, 1964, No, 5480/64. Heading A1E. A container for growing plants comprises a soil receiving pot 1 adapted to be connected to a liquid holder 2 which is provided with a liquid level indicator 13, means 3 being provided for feeding liquid from the holder to the soil. As shown the holder 2 has a cover 5 provided with a depending skirt 7 to which the pot 1 is secured by interrupted threads 8 or by means of interengaging ribs and grooves or screw threads. The pot 1 may also be a push fit in the skirt 7. In a modification the cover is formed by an annular member and the skirt is upstanding from the base 4 of the holder. In Fig. 19 the pot is secured in position by a removable member 145 having resilient arms 146 with edge portions 147 which extend through slots in the skirt portion, separation of the arms being effected by an elongated button 149 rotatably mounted in the cover.
