Abstract

In a garment press steam passes through the garment from the lower to the upper buck and is drawn away by suction produced in the upper buck, when the steam is stopped a control valve in the lower buck allows air through the garment instead of steam to dry the garment. The pressing surface of the upper buck comprises one or more layers of wire mesh.
