Abstract

1,102,626. Releasable fastenings and clamps for cases. SMITH & DAVIS Ltd. 3, Nov., 1966 [12, Nov., 1965], No. 48025/65. Headings E2A and E2B. A fastening for a case comprises a body member 10 secured to the body of the case, a box-like bolt 15 pivoted on the body member and a keeper 37 secured to the lid of the case, the bolt and the keeper being of resilient plastics material and the bolt having ribs 44- 46 which press on a ramp 40 of the keeper. The bolt has a pivot portion 14 with lugs 18 by which it is retained in a bearing portion 20 of the body member, and recesses in walls 19 of the latter cooperate with internal projections 24 of the walls of the bolt to retain the bolt in its operative position. The keeper 37 has a tongue 36 which cooperates with a recess 35 in the body member 10.
