In an endless conveyer 2 which is provided with carriers 1 carried by rods 4 pivotally mounted to bracket 3 secured to said conveyer 2, the carrier 1 carrying article 10 has rollers 5 guided by rail 6. At a discharge or charging position shown, rail points 8 or 9 engage with roller 5 to guide the carrier along rail 7 and to thus swing the carrier 1 outwards to receive an article 10 or to discharge said article. Thus carrier 1 may be an open framework which co-operates with fingers, which discharge article 10 or feed it to the carrier 1.
