A sealed transformer or inductor has a synthetic resin body 10 carrying an axially offset feedscrew 22, e.g. of nylon, engaging with an offset slot in a slidable ferrous tuning slug 16. The slot is filled with a deposit of cured synthetic resinous material which keys to the slug 16 and conforms to the screws threads on the screw 22 so that when the head 20 is rotated the slug 16 slides along the bore. The body 10 may be partially filled with silicone grease. The former 32 receives terminal forming clips having legs 44, 42 to which the ends of the coil (5) are attached.
