Abstract

903,950. Transformers and inductances. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES TELEPHONES. April 13, 1959, No. 12458/59. Class 38 (2). To obtain very small air gaps between the adjustable ferrite slug 9 and the bore of a pot-type core 5, 6, in which it is located, the slug 9 has a layer of a polyamide material 10 cast thereon and formed with a thread which cooperates with a thread 8 formed of an ethyoxyline resin material adhering to the inside of the bore. The thread 8 is formed by inserting into the bore a threaded mandrel of polytetrafluorethylene, introducing the resin in a liquid state and leaving the mandrel in the bore until the resin has hardened after which it is unscrewed.
