Abstract

1,097,891. Transistor switching circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Sept. 8, 1966 [Sept. 10, 1965], No. 40126/66. Heading H3T. [Also in Division H2] Pulses from a source 1 are distributed to a number of outputs via transformers 5, 6 by means of control elements (e.g. transistors 11, 12) which are appropriately switched to control the widths and frequencies of the pulses produced at the transformer secondaries. The transformers are connected to the source 1 in push-pull and the transformer outputs are connected via diodes to provide gate pulses for S.C.R.'s in a converter. In order to improve the output pulse shape a C.R. network may be included between the diodes and the gate of the S.C.R., Fig. 2 (not shown).
