Abstract

1,096,784. Photographic silver salt diffusion process. FUJI SHASHIN FILM KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Feb.4, 1965 [Feb. 6, 1964], No.4983/65. Heading G2C. A photographic silver salt diffusion process is conducted in the presence of a toner of the formula:- the toner being present in at least one of the lightsensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the imagereceiving layer of the receptor material and the developer. In the above formulae, R and R<SP>1</SP> are each hydrogen, alkyl of 1-4 carbons or aryl, X is hydroxyl of -N(R 1 )R 2 , where R 1 and R 2 are each alkyl of 1-4 carbons or aryl or R 1 and R 2 together complete a heterocyclic ring, and Y is -N(R 3 )- where R 3 is alkyl of 1-4 carbons or aralkyl. When R 1 and R 2 form a ring they may represent a piperidino, morpholino or thiomorpholino group.
