Abstract

1,096,494. Sleeve couplings. BELLING & LEE Ltd. Sept. 17, 1965, No. 39682/65. Heading H2E. An electrical contact sleeve is formed with a flat portion to the wall of the bore 2 by broaching away the material shown at 11 from a sleeve having a standard bore of circular cross-section. A screw (13) having a flat end (14) is used and the wire is trapped between the tip of the screw and the flat part (12) of the bore wall. The contact sleeve, Fig. 6 (not shown), has two such screws each one clamping one wire. The material may be removed alternatively, by filing, spark erosion, or electro-chemical removal.
