[Also in Division E2] A container 20 comprises an open box, having a side wall 23 standing up from a flat base 22 shaped to receive the flat side of a reel and having corners extending beyond the reel, a fitted cover having a flat top 32 shaped to conform with box base 22, with a peripheral side wall 33 to telescope with side wall 23, each corner of the base 22 and top 32 being formed with aligned wells 24, 34 depressed inwardly having aligned openings, each opening of either box or cover housing a rotatable lock 41 extending through the corresponding wall opening to retain the cover on the box. The walls 34b of one well 34 may extend inwardly to spigot over the other well 24 to engage a cushioning means 26. The wall of the smaller well 24 may extend outwardly to engage the larger well of another container when stacked together. The cover may carry cushioning means 36 for the reel R and base side walls 23 and also a holder 37 for a label. A wire seal W may be threaded through a hole in each of the locks.
