Abstract
1,095,798. Making bi-metallic tubes; extruding; forging. STAHLUND WALZWERK RIESA VEB. April 9, 1965, No. 15198/65. Headings B3A, B3H and B3P. A bi-metallic tubular body closed at one end is produced by roughening the outer surface of a tubular body 1 of a first metal, e.g. high grade steel, by chemical and/or mechanical means and pressing the body by means of a ram 7 into a solid block 2 of a second metal heated to a hot shaping temperature and located within a die 8. The bimetallic tubular body is further worked e.g. by hot rolling or extrusion into bi-metallic tubes.
