Abstract
1,095,568. Photo-sensitive materials. KALLE A. G. July 7, 1965 [July 8, 1964], No. 28839/65. Heading G2C. A light-sensitive material comprises a support coated with a layer containing a ferrocene or a substituted ferrocene, an indole or a substituted indole which contains no substituent in the threeposition, an aldehyde and a halogenated hydrocarbon. Specified halogenated hydrocarbons are those of formula:- wherein X is chlorine, bromine or iodine and R, R 1 and R 2 are chlorine, bromine, iodine, hydrogen, alkyl (which may be substituted by chlorine, bromine or iodine), aryl, aralkyl, alkenyl or heterocyclic. The material is imagewise exposed to light to produce a coloured negative image which may be fixed by heating the exposed material between 80‹ and 150‹ C. A synthetic resin (e. g. polystyrene) or wax may be added to the layer. The aldehyde may be benzaldehyde, naphthaldehyde or cinnamic aldehyde or a substituted aldehyde thereof.
