Abstract

1,093,573. Gaseous fuel systems. E. DAVIES. July 9, 1965 [July 10, 1964; Dec. 17, 1964; June 18, 1965], No. 29233/65. Heading F1B. The supply of gaseous fuel e. g. from a liquefied gaseous fuel supply 10, 12, to an engine intake pipe at 108 is controlled by a pressure reduction valve 66 which is adjusted in accordance with the throttle valve control. The gaseous fuel supply is controlled by an on-off valve 50 opened by a solenoid 40 energized through closing of the ignition switch 58. The gas flows from chamber 68 through a valve 76 to outlet chamber 70 bounded by a spring- loaded diaphragm 80 controlling the valve 76. The spring-load 90 on diaphragm 80 is increased, as the throttle valve 116 is opened, by a lever 102 connected to the accelerator pedal 106. In a modification the spring abutment 92 is adjusted by a resin-threaded member rotated by the throttle valve linkage.
